Setup Guide
Your Vault Vinyls player ships without any music on it, on purpose — you choose exactly which song each disc plays. It takes about five minutes the first time and you never have to do it again. A printed manual comes in the box as well.
Step 1 — Charge it
Plug the player into a USB-C charger for about two hours before you first use it. A full charge gives you up to eight hours of playback.
Step 2 — Plug it into your computer
Use the same USB-C cable. The player shows up as a removable drive with nine folders already on it, named 01 through 09. Works on Mac and Windows. No drivers, no app, no account.
Step 3 — Drop in your songs
Copy one MP3 file into each folder. Folder 01 plays on disc 1, folder 02 on disc 2, and so on. Put nothing else in the folder — no album art, no text files, just the song. Do not mix files across folders.
Step 4 — Stick on the chips
Your kit includes nine small numbered stickers. These are the chips. Stick one on the back of each disc. The number on the sticker matches the folder number, so sticker 3 plays whatever MP3 you put in folder 03. You decide which song goes on which disc.
Step 5 — Eject it safely
Before you unplug, eject the drive properly. On Windows, right-click the drive and choose Eject. On Mac, drag it to the trash. Pulling the cable out without ejecting can wipe the files.
Step 6 — Switch on and play
Unplug it, flip the switch on, and set a disc on top. It should start playing straight away. Swap the disc to change the song.
Still stuck?
